Held in honor of Lance Corporal Jordan C. Haerter, Fallen United States Marine, native of Sag Harbor, NY. The 5K begins and ends at Pierson High School on Jermain. Registration and packet pickup Saturday, July29th at Pierson High School 6-8PM. Jordan’s Run is part of the Suffolk County Veterans Run Series! If you are along the race route, we want Jordan’s Run participants to see Red, White & Blue all along the way. Cheer them on! Wave American Flags! Bring noisemakers! Whoever stands out the most as RED, WHITE AND BLUE will win a gift certificate to a local restaurant is the prize!!

Special Weekend Event: Step back in history to the year 1775 and experience 18th-century camp life with Revolutionary War patriot soldiers from the Third New York Regiment. Visitors to the Encampment will witness members of the Regiment in the authentic dress going about their daily lives as they would during the Canadian campaign. Come watch demonstrations of firearms, military drills, cooking over open fire, and other typical camp activities.

The Montauk Ocean Swim Challenge

Now in its 9th year, the Montauk Ocean Swim Challenge, offers a rare opportunity to swim in an open water ocean race on the beautiful East End of Long Island. This annual event, organized by the East Hampton Volunteer Ocean Rescue Squad, benefits the Montauk Playhouse Community Center Foundation in its efforts to build a vibrant Aquatic and Cultural Arts Center. The Challenge offers three distance categories for swimmers of all ages and abilities, ideal for recreational and competitive swimmers alike. Racers swim along Montauk’s scenic coastline and finish at the world-famous Ditch Plains Beach. Over 200 participants and supporters enjoy a post-swim breakfast.

Spa Day Hosted By The Westhampton Free Library

As part of the Westhampton Library sponsored “Mini-Spa Days” at the West Hampton Barrier Beach Preservation House on Dune Road, guests will enjoy activities such as a beach yoga session, breakfast, massage and a light spa lunch. Southampton Hospital’s Licensed Massage Therapist, Loretta Dalia, will provide ten-minute massages to all participants. Southampton Hospital’s Registered Dietician, Paula Montagna, will demonstrate the preparation of a light “Spa Lunch” and guests will partake. Capacity limited. Cost: $25. 9th Annual Family Fair Fundraiser: “Animals A to Z” on Saturday, July 22, 2017 held at CMEE. From aardvarks to zebras (and every animal in between), this year’s fair is guaranteed to be a roaring good time! From 10:30am – 1:30pm, families will enjoy games, crafts, rides, performances, food, and—most importantly—fun!

All proceeds from the Family Fair Fundraiser go directly towards supporting the Museum’s outreach programming for underserved families living throughout the East End.
