Winter Fantasia will be held on Sunday, December 19th, at 3pm and 5:30pm at the Bridgehampton Presbyterian Church. In addition to its own members, the Choral Society will be joined by soloists and accompanied by the South Fork Chamber Orchestra under the direction of Song-A Cho. Since its founding in 1946, the Choral Society of the Hamptons has developed a repertoire of music by all the great choral composers, and attracts members from across the East End.

During this month the winter cold fastens its grip, and nights are at their longest and darkest. Sometimes this moon is also called the Long Night Moon as the winter nights lengthen and the moon spends more time above the horizon opposite a low sun. Join us for this leisurely paced one-hour hike in Vineyard Field, the field behind SOFO. Hikes are limited to 25 participants and masks are required.

A special musical performance by East Hampton Town Supervisor Peter Van Scoyoc and wife Marilyn Van Scoyoc on Saturday, December 18th at 1p.m., will be part of Victorian Christmas at the Moran Studio.  From the balcony of the historic Moran studio, Peter and Marilyn Van Scoyoc will perform an instrumental duet of traditional holiday music, similar to what might have been performed at a festive turn-of-the-century Moran holiday party.  The East Hampton Historical Society invites the community to enjoy this singular musical performance and experience the merriment, sights and sounds of a 19th century Victorian Christmas!

Hampton Ballet Theater School’s 12th Annual Nutcracker

The Hampton Ballet Theatre School (HBTS) is excited to present their twelfth annual production of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s beloved Nutcracker. The ballet is choreographed by the director of HBTS, Sara Jo Strickland, and includes beautiful costumes designed and hand sewn by Yuka Silvera, Sara Jo Strickland, and Kate McManus and lighting design by Frank Imperiale. HBTS Apprentice Holiday Bovio will be featured along with our Pro Student Level 8 advanced dancers Corrina Castillo, Lauren Halsey, Marrina Jacka, Ana Kastrati, and Sedona Silvera, who will be performing their final Nutcracker this year and will all dance featured roles with special guest artists from New York City.
