Sunday, June 19 at 10am
Bird Walk Leader: Frank Quevedo, SoFo Executive Director

Advance reservations are required for all events. Please call (631)537-9735 for reservations, directions, and meeting places

The woods, fields, wetlands, and surface waters of the Long Pond Greenbelt provide nesting, foraging, and resting habitat for a rich diversity of avian life. In fact, more than 125 species of birds regularly use the Greenbelt for all or part of the year. In June, the Greenbelt is home to a number of nesting birds. We will search for these feathered friends, from tree canopy to understory. Ovenbird, Blue-winged Warbler, Common Yellowthroat, Redwinged Blackbird, and Baltimore Oriole are all possible sightings on this hike.
