Strange Magic NY is the authentic re-creation of legendary ’70s rock band ELO (Electric Light Orchestra)! Live cellos and intricate vocal arrangements bring a span of ELO hits to life, including “Livin’ Thing,” “Evil Woman,” “Strange Magic,” and “Don’t Bring Me Down.”

The Arts Center at Duck Creek is thrilled to kick off the upcoming holiday weekend with the legendary jazz guitarist Bill Frisell on Saturday, July 3rd at 5:00 PM.

Frisell’s range of influence is what sets him apart from his peers. His conception, part jazz, part rock, part country and part free improvisation, has changed the face of music. Alongside Frisell will be Thomas Morgan on bass and Rudy Royston on drums, both exceptionally dynamic musicians in their own right.

Longhouse: Art In The Garden Workshop

Karyn Mannix will be teaching these wonderful art workshops at the LongHouse Reserve.

The art projects planned are influenced by our natural surroundings. If you have never been to LongHouse before, here is your opportunity to enjoy luscious gardens sprinkled with art.

The 1st hour we will concentrate on painting Buckminster Fuller’s Fly’s Eye Dome (1998),

The 2nd hour we work on a Beverly Pepper Asiatic Black Web (1977) sculpture.

*Parents can join their child on this art adventure. ($20 per head)

Visit The Water Mill Museum

The Water Mill Museum dates back to 1644, with a rich history of being the oldest restored working water-powered grist mill in the United States. Exhibits on local historic artifacts, section of the Water Mill Post Office, Whaling, Fishing, and Uncle Fred’s Workshop.

Visit our Art Gallery exhibiting artists fine art and sculpture and Annual Quilt Show and Sale.

The museum is open daily from 11am-4pm, Sundays 1pm-4pm, closed Mondays through Wednesdays, and July 4th.
