Cupsogue Beach County Park
Saturday at 9 AM – 11 AM
Led by the Coastal Research and Education Society of Long Island, Inc. (CRESLI), seal walks are a fun and informative way to enjoy nature and see our intriguing cold weather visitors.
Cupsogue Beach is located at the western end of Dune Road in Westhampton Beach. The walks cover about 1.2 miles and last about two hours.
Participants should arrive 15 minutes prior to scheduled departure, dressed warmly in layers and wearing waterproof shoes (bring along an extra pair of socks and shoes to change into after walking the beach).
CRESLI suggests donations of $5.00 per adult (over 18) and $3.00 per child (18 and under) to help support their ongoing seal research programs. Season passes are also available.
Seal walks are subject to weather conditions.
Pre-registration is required. For dates and times of walks and registration, visit: http://www.cresli.org/cresli/seals/sealwalk_Cupsogue.html, make a reservation at http://www.cresli.org/cresli/reservations/seal_walk_reservations.html, and call 631-319-6003 for changes or cancellation.
