Walter Isaacson’s most recent biography, Leonardo da Vinci , a New York Times best seller, offers new discoveries about Leonardo’s life and work, weaving a narrative that connects his art to his science. “As always, he(Isaacson) writes with a strongly synthesizing intelligence across a tremendous range; the result is a valuable introduction to a complex subject”(New Yorker) Among Isaacson’s other books are The Innovators: How a Group of Hackers, Geniuses, and Geeks Created the Digital Revolution, Steve Jobs, Einstein: His Life and Universe, Benjamin Franklin: An American Life and Kissinger: A Biography . (I wouldn’t put dates; makes them seem so old.) Isaacson is a Professor of History at Tulane and the president and CEO of the Aspen Institute, a nonpartisan educational and policy studies organization based in Washington, DC. He has been the chairman and CEO of CNN and the editor of Time magazine. Gates open at 4:30. Beverages & hors d’oeuvres are served.
