Springs artist Amy Zerner will be exhibiting a selection of her tapestries and spiritual collages at Keyes Art, 53 The Circle in East Hampton (opposite Chase Bank) from June 10 – June 30th along with Bill Claps and artists from Bhoutan in a show entitled ALL THAT GLITTERS.
The opening reception will be held on Sunday, June 10th from 1 – 3 PM. Gallery hours are 10 AM – 6 PM weekdays and 10 AM – 9 PM on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Amy will also be doing a book signing at the gallery on Sunday, June 17th from 1 – 3 PM with her author husband, Monte Farber, for their new Enchanted Tarot 25th Anniversary edition. Several of the original fabric collage tapestries from the series of seventy-eight works created for this internationally best-selling book/deck set will be on display, along with samples of her art couture.
The exotic images that Amy Zerner conjures in her artwork are inspired by Persian paintings, Tibetan thangkas, exquisite dream visions and other imaginative sources. The artist’s work is filled with enchanted gardens, goddesses and sacred sanctuaries. The materials are lush and detailed with the overall result being works of art made opulent with many layers of magic and meaning.
Ms. Zerner has been the recipient of a Visual Arts Fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts. Her tapestry collages are the basis for a series of bestselling books she has produced with Monte. She has sold her Art Couture at Bergdorf Goodman exclusively for 20 years, and her work is in the collection of many celebrity clients.
