WALKING THE WALKING DUNES IN NAPEAGUE

Sunday, November 8 at 10:00am

Please call for reservations and information about meeting place
Napeague

It is said that the sand dunes of Napeague “walked” across the land. Science explains how changes over time, brought about by Nature and natural processes, sculpted ordinary sand into the steep hills that are the Walking Dunes. As we walk through the beach, swale, and forest of these unique landforms, we will observe the changing habitat and the adaptations plants and animals have made to survive here. Appropriate for adults & children ages 8+. Advance reservations are required for all events. Participants must call (631) 537-9735 for reservations and information about meeting places. There is no charge for SoFo members. Non-member fee is $7 per adult, $5 per child 3-12 years of age. Fees include admission to the museum on the day of the program.
