Enjoy family fun in Southampton Village as we celebrate the season with exciting events that embrace music, dance, art, food and the rich history of our community. Enjoy free entertainment in Agawam Park with Hopefully Forgiven, Black & Sparrow, Lynn Blue Band, Charles Certain & Certain Moves and the Next Level Band and a special drumming session with Dan Bailey Tribe. There will be live demonstrations by the Maniac Pumpkin Carvers, juggling and beat boxing performances by Jester Jim, Taste of Southampton chowder contest and food vendors, the Farmers Market, food vendors, Wells Fargo stagecoach rides, Face Painting, caricatures, juried art show, arts and crafts vendors, live music throughout the Village and much more. New this year will be a tango dance performance in the Park, and to commemorate Southampton’s 375th Anniversary a photo booth complete with historical costumes to dress up in and a Southampton Scavenger Hunt. The weekend kicks off on Friday night, 9/25 with a cocktail party sponsored by the Southampton Rotary Club in Agawam Park. Wine and craft beer plus savories from local food trucks will be available, with music by Beau Hulse and a special performance by County Line Band. Southampton SeptemberFest is organized by leading civic, cultural and business groups; SeptemberFest is a collaboration between Rogers Memorial Library, Southampton Arts Center, Southampton Chamber of Commerce, Southampton Cultural Center, Southampton Historical Museum, Southampton Rotary Club and the Village of Southampton. Spend your Sundays in Southampton and visit the Southampton Chamber of Commerce Farmers’ Market to buy local and fresh. Once again, the market will feature over 25 vendors, both returning and new, offering local products including vegetables, fruits, fish, shellfish, dairy products, pickles, cakes, pies, pastries, cookies, cupcakes, breads, granola, marinades, jams, spice rubs, tea, gluten free products, vegan products, wine from Wolffer Estate Vineyard, and more! They will have vendors specializing in natural skin care products and soaps, artisan jewelry, and will even have natural dog treats for our four-legged friends! The market will be participating in the Farmers’ Market EBT Program, encouraging all to buy fresh and local products for their families. The 6th Annual Southampton Chamber of Commerce Farmers’ Market is held on Sundays, through October 11, from 9 am to 2 pm.
